Flickr is for PICTURES, not website images. Its really tacky when the only reason you use Flickr is to upload images for your website (no offense Matt Blender), but, I think it also violates Flickr's TOS. Your second question, yes, you can hide images and then link them to a public website as far as I know, at least it works with my LiveJournal.
