Show 021

  • Random thoughts while I was driving
  • I pooted - “A Cartoon Network spokesperson confirmed that these are in-house teaser ads that will promote a new summer programming announcment in a few weeks. All three billboards are clearly references to Cartoon Network shows “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends” and “The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.” (Thanks, Bruce!)

I think its funny that you saw the sign that said “I pooted” and then you were talking about running out of gas.

The no helmit law in Florida is their way to keep control of the population.

I like the blinds & curtain closed.

I agree with Andy…No helmets help lower the population of stupid people, it’s a way of thinning out the morons…keeps them from breeding too.

As for the blinds…mine are usually closed, John and I walk around either naked or in our underwear and we really don’t feel like letting the neighbors get a free show…nothing ominous happening behind our blinds…

LOL @ “figured out how to pause my iRiver”. It’s a complete bitch to use! I always end up stopping the recording when I should be pausing and vice versa.

I don’t think choosing to not attend a wedding only affects the bride and groom, it makes a statement to everyone who will notice that I am absent. Some might argue that its selfish and hurtful to the family, bride, and groom. Well until I’m able to have the same rights and freedoms as everyone else I don’t see why I should stand and watch them exercise rights that I don’t have. Why should I have to sit through an hour long religious ceremony, that has no meaning to me, participate in a reception, and drop upwards of $200 when basically its a display of “hey look what we can do!” Sure to them its a display of their love but by marriage not being legal for gays its complicit in saying that our love is not suitable for display.

There are some exceptions though. I was reading on Americablog about this very topic and one commentator said that he would consider going to a wedding if the bride and groom asked if people would like to make donations to furthering the cause for equal marriage. I’d I would do that. The point of abstaining is to let people know that my partner and I do not have the same rights and freedoms as straight couples. I could not in good conscious look a straight couple in the eye and sincerely offer them my congratulations on their union.

I’m not saying that I’d go out and get married to my partner and have a giant wedding, in fact we’d probably just do it quietly in a civil court and without much production because thats how we are, but I want to have that choice. Therefore I refuse to participate in the freedom of choice that others are afforded and I am not.
